As of March 2002, it had 17,396 school, 2.2 million students, over 93,000 teacher, 15 teacher trainning college, 12 degree colleges and 7 vocational and trainning institutions. Most of the Vidya Bharti schools are affliated to the Central Board or Secondary Education or their local State Boards.
